    Fabinho

Yaya/Fernandinho can cover until he's fit.

    Alexis Sanchez

Sane and Sterling are young and have a lot of potential, but Sanchez is proven and World class and unlike them he can score 20+ goals a season. City need all the world class players they can get in order to compete with the best. Trophies shouldn't be sacrificed to develop young players.

    Fabinho

Weigl would be a much better signing than Fabinho. He's the closest player to Busquets out there. Someone who can pass, good in tight spaces, good ball control etc.

    Alexis Sanchez

    -------Sanchez-----Aguero-----Jesus ----------------Silva-------Gundogan/KDB ----------------------Weigl Bernardo wasn't needed imo.

    False 9

There's no need for a false 9 imo. City don't have wide goalscorers to make runs in behind.

Does Yaya still have a role?

Everybody's problem with Yaya is his low workrate off the ball. However if he's put in a clear cut role right in front of the defense, firstly, he's not going to need to run as much. And secondly, Pep's his coach. He won't get away with being lazy.

    Ilkay Gundogan

Problem with the current system is the fullbacks have too much responsibility creatively. Everytime they have the ball at CM, I keep thinking how much better an actual midfielder would be if he was in that position instead of say Zabaleta or Clichy. It worked for Bayern because Lahm/Alaba are...

Man of the Match - Stoke City (a)

Silva. Looked calm and assured everytime he had the ball. He's the prototypical Guardiola player. Rarely gave the ball way.

Does Yaya still have a role?

Yaya at DM maybe? He played that role under Pep at Barca. His distribution and ability on the ball is much better than Fernandinho's. Not a bad way to wind down his career.

    Pep's tactics

City definitely need to get at least 1 fullback in. The current lot just aren't up to scratch. They've got a big role to play and a lot of the times they're going to be linking the midfield to the attack. I'm guessing Fernandinho will end up at RB once Gundogan is fit, so a new LB at the very...

The are we allowed the "it's quiet" thread yet? thread.

Thing with Silva is he's never really relied on pace, so his age won't make too much of a difference. He's the perfect Pep type player in that he's great in tight spaces and creative. One of the best in the world when he's on form. Gundogan is more of a deeper tempo setting player like Xavi...

    Pep's tactics

Does anyone else think City need another goalscorer to support Aguero? Right now he's the only proven goalscorer in the starting lineup. Pep wants to use the fullbacks as CM's so the wingers get a 1v1. However Aguero's the only goalscorer in the box for the wingers to get the ball into. Plus...
