typical city fan. always having to find a negative in a positive.

I am more positive than almost any other city fan!

I actually believe we are going to finish in 3rd place and that had Hughes gone sooner we might well have won the title.

So what's your beef with cheaper tickets for those who can't afford to pay Premiership prices?

Surely better to fill the stadium than have empty seats? Or don't you like sitting next to the poor?

And trust me mate, you are not a positive City fan!

This really shows that the whole ticketing policy is a cock up.

It smacks of desperation.

Embarassing.

Didn't you start a thread a couple of days ago saying how lucky we are to have such wonderful owners?

You changed your mind quick, didn't you!

Better that we keep the great unwashed out...? Or have a couple of thousand empty seats rather than have less well-off City fans take them?

For a supposed socialist like yourself I'm shocked at your selfish attitude.

I haven't changed my mind at all.

This is not a gesture of generosity on the part of the club, socialist or otherwise.

It's a desperate attempt to flog seats at the last minute because they got the whole selling criteria wrong. They are left with surplus stock and they shouldn't be.

Doesn't mean we have bad owners, just a badly managed ticketing policy.

-- Tue Mar 23, 2010 9:39 pm --

But why is it bugging you?

If they give the tickets away for nowt that's their choice, and I really don't see what your complaint is?

Whether we sell them for a tenner or £40 it makes not the slightest difference to me watching the game... so why does it make a difference to you?

I presume you'll be there, so you should just be happy to see a full stadium.

I will be.

Well next season don't buy one.

Wait for the special offers.

Not one person has been "well and truly done over"... all that has happened is that a couple of thousand Blues who might otherwise not have afforded a ticket can now come along and support the team.

Isn't that a good thing?

I didn't realise so many City fans were so selfish about other less fortunate fans getting a bit of a deal.

what the fuck does it matter what you paid, or anyone else paid or when
negativity like that just eats away at the soul

as long as you are there and others are there then that's it

I know lots of loyal Blues who would love to go to every game home and away. In fact in years gone by, a lot of them used to.

Unfortunately because of finances and family commitments some are unable to.

Tomorrow gives them that opportunity. As a seasoncard holder, I don't have a problem with that. More the merrier I say. I don't think it makes them any less dedicated.

As for the "embarrasment" of having to cut ticket prices, most clubs are doing this anyway. E.g. 15 game seasonticket at Blackburn for £150.

Good to see the club undertaking another initiative to increase attendances.

im shocked saddened and embarassed that we cant sell this game out, there must be thousands left if there doing this,an what next no fcker buys a ticket early so they can get one for a tenner?
behave
shocked is losing to halifax in the cup
saddened is playing at darlington on a friday night in the 2nd round of the cup
embarrassed is being relegated to the third tier of english football for the first time

selling a few tickets on the cheap is sensible

i couldnt give a toss if they gave them away,im all of the above because i thought we would sell this game out easy after not having a home game in 4weeks
