Negredo is average. I don't know why everyone , most of who have not seen him play really, desire this guy so much.

He's better than average. He always looks like scoring goals, instinctively knows where to be and what to do as a striker. He misses a few sitters and won't be dribbling around entire defences. I'm pretty sure Pellegrini and Txiki know exactly what they're getting with Negredo, between them they have a bit of experience of Spanish football. If he wasn't a good fit for the role they want him for and the way the team will play, they really wouldn't buy him.

I don't know why people have such a downer on this.

No negredo is a hard worker and has good movement. And dzeko attitude is appalling.

No negredo is a hard worker and has good movement. And dzeko attitude is appalling.

He might be more hard working but why has Dzeko not got good movement? He drags defenders with him, making gaps for others to exploit and gets in positions to score. And as a finisher Dzeko is the better marksman.

It was tongue in cheek mate ;) I don't really have an opinion on Negredo either way. Other than not really understanding why we need him if we'll be playing a 1 striker system with Dzeko staying and Guidetti being promoted.

ahaha lol. I'm not really pretending to know or not know him. I've watched a good numbers of Sevilla games last year and throughout the years and I actually watched Negredo play when he was still at Real Madrid.

My position is that while Negredo is a very good striker and a better option than Osvaldo and co, as far as I'm concerned now and from what I know of him he is a downgrade from Cavani and Tevez, hasn't managed to break into a weak Spanish strike force, has never had a 30+ goal scoring season apart from this one and is 28.

Now I don't watch every single Sevilla game but I do watch a good number and Negredo in my opinion is a slightly faster Dzeko with a bit more first touch and some extra weight. He is leftie which is good but as I keep on saying, a winning team needs a person who can score 30-40+ goals a season e.g Ronaldo, Messi, Van Persie, Ibra etc and we absolutely need that so if we're counting on Negredo to be that, I'm skeptical.<br /><br />-- Wed Jul 10, 2013 11:35 pm --<br /><br />
