Wouldn’t say Sterling hugs the left touch line. Obviously stretching the pitch is the best way to open up teams who park the bus. The point is though you need the person who’s hugging the touch line to then attack the fullback quickly when we get him one on one. Jack hasn’t been doing that. Foden can and would do.
Foden has done it. Mahrez has done. Sterling has done it. Obviously you lose a certain something from Grealish being stuck out wide, but the tactic works.

Yeah I like the tactic I just meant we won’t see the best of Grealish there

I have never understood why people put pressure to a player about his transfer. Grealish had nothing to do with his price. I always put pressure based on their salary, because that’s where a player has a lot of influence. Grealish is the 3rd highest salary, so I expect him to be a top 3 contributor to the team. But he’s still in his first 10 matches. Only Dias has been great immediately in his first 10 matches.

Probably the same reason that every other player who plays on the wing for Pep is forced to hug the touchline.
not really all our inside-out wingers can roam about which Jack never does. Especially in big games our wingers are usually given the option to switch position Jack is not doing that. His position is too one dimensional for him to influence the game. can only think coach has given him that order else its perplexing.
