He's done well i think overall, will improve and is already a part of our best 11.
Yep. He'll get better once he integrates. People need to remember that he's never played at the level we play at, with players at this level, with the best, most intense and demanding manager in world football. People are just going off the pricetag and thinking he should blend in seemlessly while scoring 20 goals.

This isn't Football Manager....

one thing is clear from today he looked far better in the middle when he got involved in the build up play and not stuck out wide. against bus parking teams we can have him outside but against teams that engage us in the middle its better to move him to the middle so he can get more touches and affect the play whereas if he stays wide in those kind of games he receives the ball little and then when he does receive it he slows the play. but against bus parking teams this idea will invert itself and he will be more useful outside.

Settling in well , he's adapting his game and is becoming a fixture in the team ,he gives us another option and is always looking to create , he attracts players to leave space for Cancelo, Foden and Bernardo to cause chaos.
His partnership with Cancelo is developing they are becoming lethal on the left side , Jack is a great player to watch and has the attitude you need to become one of the best players around.

I didn't see these quotes posted but in the build up on the radio the had Pep talking about how big an adjustment it is for Grealish to play every 3 days, which he's never done before. They have had to sit down and teach him about his food, when he eats, his recovery, focusing 100% of your day around football and emphasising that you can't have days off.

It reminded me of Stephen Warnock once saying that people don't realise top 4 players are just different athletes to a normal PL player and he spoke about when you go man to man they're just so much leaner and stronger.

These are things people just don't think about when they see a player like Grealish move for £100m. It's going to take him 6 months at least to get to his best.

Far too much advanced talks sadly for the people that doesn't understand it enough.
