I’m not that bothered. I would put Adama Traore for that position over Grealish. Grealish gets a diagonal, long ball or pass every time, but hardly ever go thru his markers.

Sure Adama doesn’t score that many goals but he is explosive. 2nd fastest player in the league, like Salah. Also one of the top players in successful dribbles over markers per game. He just doesn’t have a good end ball, because he’a not a complete player and he plays for a weak team that does counterattacking football.

Explosive Speed, successful dribbles. Both features that Grealish lacks. Would love a Leroy Sane but Adama at 26 might be a good £30m buy since not many rates him and sees him as a weak player.

Think you might prefer watching the 100m in athletics. Lots of explosive pace for you there.

Good goal, but generally just not good enough. very hard to see him becoming a leader for us. dont think he makes the best 11 currently.
(which is Rodri, Bernardo, KDB midfield and Foden-Jesus-Mahrez front three imo)
we can play around with the false 9 position to fit Grealish in but does he give us more than the player he replaces? not really. (move KDB to false 9 or Foden etc)

hard to see this changing when we get Haaland plus Alvarez as they will stop the false 9 tactics meaning much less game time to share for the rest upfront. and Grealish aint showing why he should pick up more of that lesser game time next season. unless we make some real big changes and let two of Sterling, Jesus, Mahrez go and only use McAtee, Palmer more but then we will be weaker end of the day.

He isn't a false 9 so understandable that he struggled first half. Played much better 2nd half and got a goal and should have had an assist. He was far from the worst out there today.

Due to square pegs and team choice......Currently we are not getting he best out of a few players,he is the most high profile and easiest to call out.

It wasn’t too long ago at the Etihad, when we played against Wolves and lost 0-2. Traore scored both goals.

Granted it was Jimenez who was the playmaker with many chances through him, but a season after he had that scary head injury. Jimenez is a more complete player than Traore, but Traore now with Barcelona looks better than he was a Wolves player.

That the Barcelona that got knocked out of the champions league and then the europa league? Just cos an average player found his level doesn’t mean City should be anywhere near him just cos he can run fast.

Good player, very good player

But he needs to do more, been a big disappointment

Worried he doesn't have elite mentality, he's seems worried to play to his full ability in case he makes a mistake

Was worried when we bought him he'd never live up to the price tag (not his fault) and I'm feeling may be right

Give him a 2nd season, but yea.....he hasn't been good enough.....I'd rather have Luis Diaz
