How exactly do you know it’s not true given he has almost always played on the wing for us thus far?

What body of evidence are you deriving your firm stance from?

Can’t be his performances at Aston Villa, given he stood out in the CM/AM role there, which was presumably why we bought him.

By the way, this is coming from someone that didn’t really want Grealish at City. I just think he’s being very harshly assessed (in some cases nonsensically).
 
Didn’t want to sign Grealish in the first place, didn’t think we needed to pay that kind of money for another player in that position… but then thought he actually looked very good in his first few months here but things the petered out for him as the season went on with performances not turning into goals and assists seeming to get to him. Now his confidence and enthusiasm/energy seems to be way down and he is looking like a very average member of the team, rather than 100mn superstar. Still think there is a top player in there that can come good for us. Needs some management/coaching though and possibly a move into the centre as it just isn’t working for him on the left wing at the moment

It’s a forum, best place for criticism to be. It was noticeable in the ground that he was actually getting additional support where others weren’t. Which is great and what he needs.
 
I hope he realizes that he is not putting in the effort. If he decides to sprint and scrap then he can find out if he has the ability for this level. At the moment imo he isn't giving himself a chance. Pity.
 
Don't really fancy having a go at him tonight seeing as we won but either something dramatic needs to change or it's best for all parties to sell. I would prefer the former but be fine with the latter. It's past the point now where he's still bedding in.
