Completely agree mate. He took his man on a couple of times before having shots blocked and he was shaking his head and apologising to team mates. That's the sign of someone putting a lot of pressure on themselves to perform and he'd be better just ignoring the weight of expectation, performances would then come. He shouldn't apologise for gaining half a yard and taking a shot on, lots of players do it. On both occasions no other pass was really on in any case.
When Bernardo and Foden came on they took it in turns being wide or inside but they paired up and, in combination with Cancelo they forced overlaps and as a result there was also more space on the right for De Bruyne, who dropped a bit deeper and had Alvarez moving inside and outside.
Gundogan wasn't combining well with Grealish. He was floating about in the no10 slot but not managing to make much happen. I think if Grealish had have stayed on with Bernardo we'd have seen him instantly be a lot more effective.
Not blaming Gundogan, sometimes it's easy for a new player to come on and Pep had probably identified areas to target. Grealish just needs to play his natural game and not worry so much about what others are thinking. He's a cracking player and he'll get there in time.
