There has certainly been an upturn but if Foden was in form he would be playing.

He’s scored at United (unlucky that it was not an important goal in the end), he made a great assist last night.

So he is starting to deliver, If he keeps it up will be hard for Foden to get back in.

He is doing more than he was but there is still room for more I think. More game time is leading to better performances. He needs to add some goals to his numbers ideally. This applies to others too. KDB and Gundogan not weighing in either.

The usual pattern emerges: player comes in, and in a short time some posters are calling him out on poor performances. Player has some good games, which are largely ignored, and some mediocre games, where the same posters continue to call out the player as not doing enough, needs this and that, never be good enough to wear the shirt. Player begins to improve, now he has to do it week in and week out, still not enough for me, should have bought this player. Player becomes absolute quality, posters largely disappear from the thread. Player leaves, what a fantastic player he was, should have never let him go, cannot understand why we let ourselves be so short of cover.

I guess some just love a moan. The success we are having is a joy - enjoy it.

I dread when we wil eventually go back pre takeover era, i know it's slim chance but it's always possible. Nothing can last forever.

Where do we get this from? He's given us far more reason to think he's not a good guy than the vast majority of players. But with most players it's 'wah typical self-obsessed footballer' and Jack's 'a really nice lad'?

I don't get it. Think people are seeing what they want to see tbh.
He comes across as likeable in interviews, his teammates obviously love him, and he does a load of stuff for charity and especially going out of his way to do stuff for individual fans.

Not perfect, not above criticism, and he's done some stupid shit in the past. But right now I find him very difficult not to root for.

Recently been watching the 99/00 promotion season DVD. We went 7 games without a win in February and March and dropped out of the automatic promotion places. The game that ended the winless run was a 2-1 win against West Brom in the last minute, so we were seconds from going 8 without a win. Wonder what Bluemoon would have been like then with some of this lot on here. Total panic stations.

Happy days. I'm getting all nostalgic now.

He’s a very classy player who’d be better used than in a deeper midfield role, driving forward like Yaya used to. Goals and assists wouldn’t matter so much if there are 3 forwards ahead of him to tally them up.

I think Fernandez breaking his transfer record will be a weight off his shoulders. If I remember correctly, I think it was Pogba who had said that the record transfer fee at the time weighed heavy on him. Grealish seems like he's a very online person, so I'm sure he's some of what's been said over the last year +. If it'll actually make a difference will be up for discussion, but I'm sure he'll be happy he's not the most expensive footballer in PL history anymore.
