Awful first half,as bad as i've seen him.....but he decided that wasn't going to affect him or define him,and he produced tremendous character and quality in the second.

Having not been anywhere near this or the match thread prior to this contribution,i can only imagine the rubbing of hands and the vitriol that was aimed at him by those that want him to fail - You must be gutted.
They largely disappeared from the thread after his first assist :-)

Wants him to fail? No blue i know wants him to fail, why would they? But he is failing, failing to deliver and live up to the hype, and that's a fact. Many thought Grealish would kick on from last season and he's doing no better. If anything he's become easier to work out for defenders. He can't beat a man, no turn of pace, offloads the ball soon as he can with square and backwards passes. 3 good chances squandered and 2 assists because he has no confidence to score. Sterling was a frustrating player( like I've said) but he was fast paced and delivered plenty of goals and assists, should have had more but I'm digressing now.

I want to see Grealish putting In MOTM displays and making things happen when he comes off the bench, but sadly I'm not seeing that. With the skills Grealish has it's as though we're being short changed, it feels like he's taking the piss when he's playing passively in making easy passes. Sorry, but unlike some I cannot praise mediocrity...

He can clearly do nothing right for you. He lays on 2 goals and somehow you knock him for it. Unbelievable!

That's right. 2 easy assists i could have done. But I'd have shot at goal and probably put away at least two goals(from 5) that Grealish should have bagged. What's unbelievable about that?

Two good assists last night. That is the level he needs to show. Not just for 20 mins in 16 months but in most games. Rico did an equally good assist in his first prem start but Jack fluffed it.
Hope this gives him the confidence he has been missing. But the jizz boys need to calm down a little.

Shocker of a first half. Thought that might finish his confidence completely off but fair play to him, came out second half wanting to prove a point and delighted he got the two assists. Hope he starts against Everton now that he's got some sort of momentum.

He definitely needs to start more regularly for me but with Foden needing game time and possibly Alvarez back, I can’t see him starting and it’s back to square one for him. His next game could well be Chelsea in the cup and it’s not enough for him.

I have been critical of him and again last night I thought his first half was poor. Took too long on the ball in dangerous positions leading to blocked shots/crosses and his finishing was abysmal. However he kept his head up and came out for the second half chomping at the bit. He had a good second half and overall was involved in the game all his time on the pitch. He was a menace to Leeds and fair play to him for battling on.

Showed a good pair of bollocks to come out and perform like that after the way the first half ended for him.

His shooting techniques needs work, never seems to hit it hard and low. The fact he draws 3 players to him needs to be exploited better by us switching the ball quicker - this might actually be something that Phillips is able to offer if we can get him on the pitch!
