I think he is in the best form since the start of the season..
Today he was completely in the game. Remember when he tracked back and blocked the cross ? I liked his defending today, determined and full of aggression
Every movement and touch on the ball was sharp and in overall, that was the level he was playing at in the second half of last season..
Good game, hopefully he continues like that.

You just fucking knew that he would get carded his first foul despite getting abused all night. Same story every time.
I don't envy referees in the slightest, but I'm glad he was giving the ref a piece of his mind after the match.

Bubbling up nicely - both him and Foden. We've clearly not seen the best of them together. The rest of this league campaign seems ideally set-up for these two leading English players. Time to change perceptions by leading us to the title and hogging the highlights in the process.
Phil is underestimated by many, but he's not yet decisively proven he is head and shoulders the top English player of this gen. This is his chance to leave that mark in people's heads.
Jack also still has a lot of doubters and nay sayers. We know he was amazing in Europe last year. This year, I want him to get a real taste for turning up at other grounds and rubbing the local's noses in the dirt.
Of course neither has been an automatic pick for England. They should be aiming to pile the pressure on Southgate. I'm not saying he will crack. But they need it so the casuals are moaning every time they aren't playing.
