It's already a looooong summer with all this against a City player. He has now gone to the England training camp and, personally, I feel it is time to leave the lad alone and see what happens in August when real football starts again. JMHO

He showed up to the England camp earlier than the other City players. I imagine he's worried that he's on the brink of not making the Euro squad.

His last two seasons at Villa, he got 17 goals and 18 assists in 58 games all comps. He was also statistically one of the best creative players in Europe.

He's been stuck out on the left, hugging the touchline - we haven't seen him with an overlapping full back or with the freedom to drift inside - both of which he had at Villa.

It's worked well enough for the team's needs, particularly last season, but now the team is evolving again.

Personally, I don't think that evolution has to be a bad thing for Jack. I think it could be an opportunity to finally get the best version of him.

I'd love to see him as an 8/10. I think he has all the attributes. I know Pep has refused to play him there, so maybe it's not likely. But if he is going to play out wide, he needs more freedom to drift centrally. And a genuine left back behind him.

He has been stuck out on the left by the best manager we have ever had for a reason.

Cameo for England, still not fully in his rhythm after a season full of set-backs, but showed his quality, involved in 2 goals. Calm on the ball, makes sensible decisions and creates chances.

Jack Grealish performing at his best without any setbacks ie no lengthy injury period and robbery in house will do alot of good for the club next seasons.

Hopefully that’s enough for waistcoat to take him. I know a lot of blues aren’t bothered about England but i want to see them win a tournament. They’ve got a lot better chance if Grealish plays out there. Rather than Phil wasted out there as will happen.
