Grealish was excellent. Bigger tests are coming. If he plays at that level in the next few games, then he solves part of our problems. Unlike some of our midfielders, you can't say he's lightweight.

People calling him instantly better than all our CMs is Hilarious. There was nothing to suggest he did better than others. Game was over and every one was just waiting for FT. Well I guess his mere presence makes him better than everyone by default

Great tonight centrally. Exactly what the team - and he - needed. A change.

Has the ability to play fast and slow and works his socks off too. Brilliant all round and a fantastic block in the first half too.

Great to see him finally playing centrally. He started quietly but really grew into the game. Gave us the control we needed, and also a bit more energy. Excellent performance overall, and must start there against Palace.

This strikes as the current boom/ bust/ amazing/ terrible take that seems to have become the norm.

He was above average there today and showed enough to believe there is something there.

Think a lot on here wanted him tried there and it’s clouding there judgment.

Think his positioning at times was off, didn’t ever look a real goal threat and as such I don’t think he was brilliant or our long term answer at this point.

However and someone may prove me wrong he seemed to really do a good job of keeping possession, particularly carrying the ball forward.

He has not played that position in a long time and so I think he will have learnt a lot tonight.

Agree that he needs to start there against Palace, but think a lot of work needs to be done if he is ever going to become a regular starter there for us.

I hope for him he does it, very likeable guy by all accounts and has a lot of talent.
