Good character to come back out second half and play better after the first half gaffe. Will get better and better
He definitely has learning to do for sure. When he left the gap at our back left, he was there in seconds to recover the team position, held the ball and won a throw.Still a bit rusty when it comes to fitting into our system, thought we conceded a lot of control in his area of the pitch, but that's totally fine - he's been here two minutes. He made up for it today with some great individual work with the ball. And what a goal. Nice introduction to the team.
Different players with different roles. Probably worth remembering that when we signed Grealish he was more direct. Remember his goal against Leipzig on his Champions League debut? He eventually had that coached out of him and he became a better player. Doku naturally faster so will likely try to take it on his own more often but wouldn't be surprised if, in a year's time, Doku is being criticised for not taking his man on enough. His goal was what everyone has been wanting from Grealish for ages. Get it out your feet and hit it instantly.
I wasn't even slagging him off, calm down.Grealish didn't even get in bench because injury and yet get slagged for FFS.
Nah, he plays in colour. ;-)Any other FOC’s like me who sees a bit of Jairzinho, 1970 Brazil winger in this kid.
OuchNah, he plays in colour. ;-)
Pep will spend a lot of time teaching him to understand when to go past a player, or when to just play short/pass and move.Different players with different roles.
