Good character to come back out second half and play better after the first half gaffe. Will get better and better

He definitely has learning to do for sure. When he left the gap at our back left, he was there in seconds to recover the team position, held the ball and won a throw.

Another time was when we went into crazy rotation mode, Doku and Nunes tripped over each other almost questioning each other what are we doing in the same position?

Different players with different roles. Probably worth remembering that when we signed Grealish he was more direct. Remember his goal against Leipzig on his Champions League debut? He eventually had that coached out of him and he became a better player. Doku naturally faster so will likely try to take it on his own more often but wouldn't be surprised if, in a year's time, Doku is being criticised for not taking his man on enough.

Pep will spend a lot of time teaching him to understand when to go past a player, or when to just play short/pass and move.

This is a problem with a lot of quick players, in they have never been coached at the top level to understand when the right time is.

Vinnicius is a good example of this, and it has to be coached into them early. Doku literally couldn't be in better hands given his raw ability.
 
He's intelligent with his final ball choices, too, which is what could set him apart from a lot of the other freak dribblers we've seen in this league.
 
Conceding today was his fault, but he was really a threat the entire match, so his performance leans positive.

I think he's gonna be really useful for us. He'll improve once he fully understands the new system demands and gets more comfortable w/ the team.
 
Played very well today but I’m not expecting that on a regular basis he will have his fair share of ffs games but in 12 months he can be brilliant.
 
Put two sitters on a plate for Erling so extremely unlucky not to have two assists to go with his goal.

Obviously he needs time to be coached into our system so that he doesn't gift possession to the opposition as with the WH goal but I'd say that was a highly impressive debut.
