The fact that he hasn’t featured in recent weeks suggests, to me, that he simply isn’t fit. How he can still be in contention for the Euros is beyond me. I agree that he needs a good season, but that is an expectation that I would level against de Bruyne, Haaland, and Stones, too. All four were firing on all cylinders in 22-23 but all four spluttered through 23-24.
 
Did more in a half than the rest of em put together. Possibly changed the course of his next season with that performance.
 
Next season needs to see Doku as the starting LW.

Stop with Gvardiol and/or Walker out wide, no where near the threat of a real winger.

Savio RW as well. Buy young dynamic wingers.

We have, usually, good goal scorers in the box.

Bernado adapted to CM from being an attacking midfielder after a couple of seasons. Grealish is strong, good work rate and keeps the ball better than anyone.

Grealish hasn’t warranted a place in the team, so Pep won’t see it as a problem. It’s not going to end well for Jack.
 
He was so good today as he has been on many occasions. I think he’s had a very good season (particularly for a Pep winger). I think the benefit outweigh the drawbacks and he offers far more than Grealish or Bernardo offer on the flanks.

The fact that our players actively look to Doku as the focus of our attacks shows just how impactful he is on that flank. Also have noticed improvements in his decision-making does not lose the ball anywhere near as often > his passing across the box is becoming another asset. Into Phil against West Ham (which he scored from) and again.

Problem with that selection is that Rodri is still doing too much work. Neither Foden nor Grealish would offer enough heading in the other direction. We simply need a bigger squad of dependable players, each operating in the position they feel most comfortable.
 
Didn't like the way we constantly looked to get him on the ball at every opportunity tbh. Made us look predictable and like we'd run out of ideas elsewhere in attack. His goal should really have been saved as well.
He couldn't have given much more when he came on so it's not me digging him out at all, just a concern that we were too reliant on him creating something from nothing.
 
Pep's biggest mistakes this season: not starting Doku in the home leg vs Madrid and not starting him today. We wasted the 1st halves in both games.

Exceptional talent. Partner him with Savio and give KDB's role to Foden.

After his superb game last week, he should have started today. Kovacic played ok but it sends the wrong message out.

The rags play and depend on Groucho yet Pep doesn't trust a quicker more intelligent winger in Doku
 
Doku is a quality player - sane-esq. Not affraid to take his opponents on even if it is 2 defenders he is up against. Scores goals and gets assists

That right flank is now his and sutely starts as 1st choice next season...grealish either steps his game up by some margin or he will find himself sitting on that bench more. Unless Pep utilises him more infield
 
Pep must love Doku. Not only is he great going forward but he also has Jacks ability to slow down the game. On multiple occasions after we’ve been under sustained pressure near our box and he’s received the ball under pressure from several opposition players. With a few sidesteps he’s relieved the pressure by drawing players to him and played it back safely. Seems to know when to do it as well.

My favourite signing of the season closely followed by Josko. Get another like him in the right and we have outlets on both sides which will force the opposition back.
