He's started two of the last three games, so not sure where the narrative that Pep has gone off him comes from.
We're also in the unusual position of mostly playing one game a week. Gundogan can do that, whereas when we were playing every few days, the older players were struggling, and it's likely why Gonzalez came in and played most PL games. With all the midfield fit, and not as many games, it's not a surprise that Pep is going with his more experienced team.
It's probably also worth bearing in mind, that people are judging him as a Rodri replacement, when he's played the majority of his top tier games in centre midfield, and has only been an occasional stand in at DM.
