16 | Rodri 2024/25

Praying he's not out for too long.

We've done well so far with his absence, but going without him for a bulk of the season will be a real test. Every week I'm more thankful Gundo is back.

The clickbait stuff is depressing but let's not forget the "Partey part" - it looked like a deliberate attempt to seriously damage him and may well have worked. He kicks Rodri on the inside of his knee at full momentum causing him to collapse onto the joint. They practice these things at Arsenal you can be 100% sure of that - probably got a specialist coach for maiming the opposition.
Not seen a mention of a penalty review. Usual reasons I suppose.

Rodri moving freely after the game means nothing if we go by Sane who did his ACL vs Liverpool...

Let's hope Rodri got away with a season ending injury. Grade 1 or 2 of MLC or LCL would mean a month or two out. Grade 1 of ACL sprain may mean several months out. ChatGPT says so.

I'd be happy if he's out only for 1-2 months. We can win something big if Rodri is back by February and in form, more likely the CL than the PL. Let's hope he will be back for the last 3-4 months at least. Of course, best case scenario he's out only for say 2-3 weeks.

Yet not the worst thing Partey has ever done.

Allegedly.

Had he been playing rather than Kovacic (and this is not a criticism of Kovacic) we'd have won the game because he'd have buried a chance from outside the box no problem. He'd also have helped us defend their set pieces better.
