I am Arminia fan in Germany myself, nicknamed Tego he is the best goalie we ever had. We are proud to see his further development with city and you are right, to good as a backup but a quiet content and down to earth guy.

I think he is thrilled to play for city and will stay and look for his chance to play as often as possible.

Good saves but his distribution was a bit shaky at times and almost got caught out in the first half with a poor touch. I wasn’t overly impressed with his game tonight after a great game on Sunday.

Probably his worst/most nervy performance for us. Made a couple of decent enough saves but distribution was suspect tonight for the first time and his decision making was really questionable, took forever on the ball.

Saying that, that's the most pressure he will ever be put under from the opposition So i expect a better showing against brentford ahead of a cup final appearance

Did nothing wrong per se but he is simply nowhere near as good as Eddie on the ball and that affects the whole team. I hope and pray he doesn’t play in the cup final. We need our best team.

Fuck sentiment I just wanna beat those cunts, if that means upsetting this lad or breaking promises we’d made him about cup appearances so be it.

It's been mentioned a bit recently, but Brighton are posting incredible numbers this season, and they really deserve to be in Europe.

They have more shots per game than any other team, including us, and in terms of possession, are second only to City. And De Zerbi only arrived for the 7th game of the season, so those would be even higher if he'd been here longer.

I can't see United or Inter playing with anything like as much pressure.

I absolutely hope he starts the FA Cup final. We're more likely to need his superior shot stopping abilities and united's press isn't anywhere near as good as Brighton's so I'd expect his distribution to go back to being excellent.

He is a super keeper. Brighton's set up and obstruction of the passing lanes is what made his distribution look a little shaky at times.

Balls to that, he should definitely play in the Cup Final - he's good enough and he deserves it.

I still maintain that part of the reason we lost to Wigan in the Cup Final was because Mancini ditched Pantilimon at late notice to put Hart back in. These guys work together all season, they know who's promised what. You break promises and you piss off your players - and not just the keeper who's been dropped. Loads of them would be thinking it's unfair on him.

Great shot stopper but not so good with his feet, but compared to Ederson who is? He will definitely start against the rags but that aids them in the press as it did Brighton last night, for me we go route one more with him to Haaland if it’s not working.

Do we think Ortega will start the next game to keep him warmed up for the cup final? Only thing is how would Eddie keep his eye in sitting it out for the next couple of weekends, Ederson has been fantastic this season and pulled out some huge stops in the Champions league knock outs.

Ten Hag will have taken close note of the fact that he's sometimes not quite right in his timing with the ball at this feet. He holds it for just that microsecond too long, and his first touch isn't as sure as Ed's. It's been said many times, he's a very good shot stopper — more reliable than Ed in some ways — but you can be sure that if Rashford plays he'll have instructions to bear down on him at full speed to try to panic him.
I'd be in favour of him playing at Wembley all day long, were it not for the fact that we've got another final a week after that. No way is Ortega playing in Istanbul. Reluctantly, therefore, I think Pep has to give the Wembley gig to Ederson. It's a strange situation, not like the Wigan one where Roberto was clearly in error in giving Hart the gig.

He did fine last night and the rags won’t press anything as good as Brighton did

I think Ortega still plays at Wembley because Pep trusts him and is a man of his word being a cup goalkeeper. Even though it’s now bigger than just a normal FA Cup final. I’m nervous already

Normally I’d agree with that but this game is different

Looked a bit rocky last night. Nearly got caught on a couple of occasions messing with the ball in the area. Not filling me with confidence for next week.
