Took his goal very well but on a couple of other opportunities, I thought he either took an unnecessary touch away from the goal or a heavy one(the pass from KDB near the end of the first half comes to mind). Worked his socks off though.

Are we about to start counting every single bad control or decision mistake he makes? Do we really need to start going there? Every player makes mistakes during the games (KdB, Bernardo, even Haaland), of course there's always room for improvement but even then nobody is perfect.

Against the very best like for example Real Madrid, that kind of mistake will cost us a goal.

What I liked about his goal was that it was a”Haaland” goal!

He made space for the pass by turning his defender the wrong way as he made space between them for the pass, and made the run so he could take it in his stride. He was not afraid to hit it first time and boy did he hit it!

At 22, he has a strong future ahead of him.

That said, he doesn’t have the first touch of the world class players around him that kill the ball dead on a sixpence, but that can be taught.

He also seems to want to do EVERYTHING at 100mph, rather than knowing when to speed up and slow down.

However, given we are 1/3 of the way through his first season, he’s a transplant from a completely different culture, and he’s living in the shadow of the biggest name in British football at the home of the PL champions, I’d have to say I’m quite chuffed at what he’s shown so far!

He’s a South American Dickov who could score a hatful of goals with the service he could get from our midfield and wingers! I’d have said Agüero, but still early doors on that potential comparison!!!

He is doing brilliantly for a player so new to the league. His finish yesterday was like prime Aguero. It feels good to have an Argentinian back in the squad.
