Blimey. Early days but he looks good. Our scouts have done a great job finding and signing him.

Hopefully he will be the third great Argentinian striker after Sergio and Tevez. Early days though.

Absolutely fantastic. Love the power and precision he puts into his shots, and his movement off the ball is phenomenal. Terrific work rate too. Obviously he's gonna be in Haaland's shadow just because of what Erling can do, but he looks a real player and would probably already be talked about as a potential "value signing of the season" if he happened to play in red.

As a River fan I'm so happy that Julian seems to have been able to translate his game to the premier league almost seamlessly. The non-stop press, the short-space acceleration, the link-up play, and cracking finishes with either foot. This is what he used to do for us game in and game out. You have a special one, take care of him.

His finishes were great but what sets him apart is what he does off the ball. He doesn’t stop. He presses, he gets involved in the mad swarm to stop counters when they’re breaking, he comes short, he goes in behind, he goes left, he goes right, he sniffs chances in the box. He deserves to be a success for this work rate and attitude.

Pep: Everyone is talking about Erling, but Julian is exceptional.

Personally, I'm waiting for the games in which Pep starts with Haaland, Foden and Alvarez in attack: will be the youngest attack in the league, and the best.
Funny, all of them aged 22.
Wonder how many goals / assists this trio will accumulate by the time they turn 30.
