Re: De Jong injury to Ben Arfa

I would LOVE to see the reaction here if that was David Silva with his leg broken in two spots from a tackle from say, Joey Barton.

The same tackle.

We would be calling for a suspension. You don't go clean through a players planted leg like that. Anyone that has ever played the game will attest to this. Your fooling yourselves if you think that was any kind of an accident, De Jong tackles for a living.

And for the people saying "it was not that bad". lol, he's out for the season and it's broken in two spots. what constitutes bad for these people then, a complete amputation?

I love NDJ. Love him, he's one of the first names on the team sheet. But how about we take our blue glasses off for a moment defending our own player, stop calling people pussies and talk football for a moment. These things have a way of coming back to you, I hope it's not Adam Johnson on the receiving end, or David Silva, or Tevez. The game does not need a tackle like that.

Can't believe how many collaborators there are in the media's war against City. The Dutch manager's comments are stomach-churning enough but to see people who claim to be blues jumping on the bandwagon just goes to show how spinelessly suggestible and unwilling to deal with hostility some people are.

The thing is we have a history of negative press or attitude towards our club. With us signing Bert Trautmann (even though we won the most of public's backing towards the end of his career) being one example.

The thing is ex pros(Ray Houghton and Steve Lomas) have said it was not malicious challenge. If it was he would of gone over the ball and that would make it a bigger outcry than necessary.

De Jong tackled someone legally.

He broke his leg in two places.

What else about this story deserves so much attention?

Re: De Jong injury to Ben Arfa

For me this pic says it all, his outstretched leg got the ball... the problem was that his knee on his trailing leg jammed Arfa's leg into the turf, the leg he had all his weight on.

It easily happens, I was playing 5 a side a few years back and broke a guys leg with a fair challenge when I slid in to get a touch on the ball which would have took it past the keeper, the defender got his standing foot behind the ball and crack... his bone came through his sock. And that was one of my best mates.

Well they say a picture paints a thousand words and this one must surely put any arguments to bed. Those who have been so willing to support anti-City propaganda should hang their heads in shame.

Telling De Jong he did nothing wrong and continue what you are doing is not helping him, he needs someone to have serious chat with him about the way he goes in. What the dutch manager did was for his own good as people over Holland has had problem with his style for a long time

Garbage... it doesn't take much logic to see that the pic above shows clearly what happened, the sort of challenge that happens thousands of times in football at every level every week and normally goes unnoticed, just like it did on sunday when play carried on and no-one gave it a second glance until the injury was obvious.. It was just unusual circumstances involving angles and weight distribution that resulted in a break.
NDJ or any player could replicate that tackle another 100 or so times and nothing would happen.

So him breaking 3 ankles in less than one year is nothing but coincidence and he shouldn’t even consider to look at what he’s doing wrong? And everyone in his home country got him wrong as he broke 2 players ankles just before the world cup and made them miss it? Or is it that you have your blue glasses on and cant see the problem with players who have De Jongs mentality?
