Won the treble without him playing a major part then this season he’s handed an important starting role and captaincy because he threatened to leave. Not for me.

Yesterday was a catalogue of errors including 2 for the goal - legging it across the pitch to Jackson when he was never going to get there and while Akanji was already there to leave Sterling was criminal. But then to let Sterling cut back onto his right foot - which he was obviously going to do and surely after training with him everyday for 6 years he realised - was the icing on the cake. He did it against Newcastle (twice?) too for their goals away.

His defensive ego seems to have come to the fore this season too. Jogs over to wingers rather than getting right in their faces.

Squad player for me. I’d rather have Akanji at right back (Bayern at home) and Stones in CB being the extra midfielder.

And then the fun started for Inter...let's keep it real...
Let’s keep it real shall we
He is one of the best full backs in the world
We have some of the finest players in the world in every position
However we have fans that constantly slag off our stars .god knows why
The majority of these fans would go into total melt down if they had to watch the likes of Jamie Pollock in midfield on a weekly basis

He keeps on making that same mistake. Teams are targeting him on the break, knowing he will come over to the centre leaving a massive gap on the left, his right, which they are exploiting.

Personally, I don't see that, unless the bar is a low one.

In what way do you think he is?

Bahaha. I'm not meaning to rub my feathers, but I've been saying all season that he's been shite and has ZERO business starting.

If he's not locking down his side of the pitch as he has in the past, he's borderline useless, as he doesn't have an attacking bone in his body.

Force Sterling to his left would surely be the first thing on his 'scouting report'.
How he's become a first name on the team sheet guy this season is beyond comprehension especially after being rightfully phased out last term. It's well past the time to go back to the Akanji, Stones, Dias, Ake back 4.

And while we're at it get Alvarez out of the midfield ASAP or going trophyless becomes a probability instead of a possibility. We're not winning a Prem or a CL with him or Akanji in any type of midfield role, simple as...
