If you're playing a team as good as ours and Walker is the main creative option you're defending against, you'd take that all day

Put the one and only good cross/pass into the box in the first half that nobody read or got on the end of.

Worked his bollocks off, was hungry, made one very costly very silly mistake… but then made up for it by creating our next two chances within minutes of that, one of which was ballooned over by Álvarez (something as bad in a game like that as Walker’s mistake) and the other ended up with a winner.

More than made up for the one bad thing he did.

Really liked his response to the mistake, went and set up two dangerous attacks immediately after including having a massive part in the goal

He always tries his best against his boyhood club and that’s a mark of his professionalism on the pitch. Sure, he dropped a clanger but he didn’t hide and was instrumental in our recovery. The players presumably nominate their captains, and if they see him as such, so be it.

World class at what he does best, weakest link overall. Also approaching an age he can decline massively at any minute. I think we should have got rid this summer

His fuck wasnt the mistake, it was the way he lay on the deck like a teenager and watched a passage of play or 2 and let his teammates deal with his fuck up that disappointed me

I like the man, but hes no skipper at all
