Maybe he has the heart to be captain but not the brain.
He made one mistake ?

Anyway, came here to say how well he did after his brainfart. Usually players get determined and lose focus but he got both right and was instrumental in getting the winner.

Anybody else get unreasonably annoyed when they see players handing their shirts to rival fans at the end of the match? Saw walker do this yesterday. I get he's from sheffield and a local lad but giving your shirt to a sheffield united fan who will have no real interest in it other than to get a bit of attention out of it and then have their parents flog it on ebay over giving it to a city fan in the away end who may do the exact same thing but is much more likely to actually appreciate it annoys me more than it should.

Kyle is playing superb recently. I hope he stays as 2nd or even 1 st choice for the captain.

His fuck wasnt the mistake, it was the way he lay on the deck like a teenager and watched a passage of play or 2 and let his teammates deal with his fuck up that disappointed me

I like the man, but hes no skipper at all
Yeh it was really petulant. Not what you’d expect from such an experienced player

Weirdly enough, I actually think he is doing a fine job as a wide fullback. He actually has contributed to the attack more meaningfully than I would have expected.

My only problem is that it's still just inferior to having a flat out winger there, and he is so far out that he isn't the one relied on stopping counters, but the wide RCB. But when he comes back he is obviously a better defender to have than whoever plays on the wing.

I think whoever play RW is clearly benefitting from having the freedom to roam inward like Foden or Bernie have had so far, they are essentially acting as attacking midfielders, but just defend out wide.

It’s too soon to throw Doku in deep end. Pep is planning to ease him in slowly same like Gvardiol told to do basic and I can tell he is holding it in from doing anything extra like play stones roles, making those through ball, progressive passes and take ons. Kyle doing this part of game temporarily.

Whilst I would agree with Dias as my choice for captain, isn't the decision taken by the players

Wouldn’t agree with KDB being the captain, to be honest. It has to be Dias.

There are different kind of captains read this excerpt from Anchlotti book shared and might explain why KDB might be captain. It’s not what we see…

Interesting quote. I kind of see Dias as the political captain after reading that. For me rodri is peps man on the pitch, had the game knowledge and the view, is clearly a model pro so should be captain - is he a technical captain as ancelotti referred to?

KDB is an inspirational player, and he's going to be missed in these next few months. But he doesn't strike me as a leader of men. Dias does, with Rodri as vice captain. But that's just my opinion.

I thought B Silva falls under that along with KDB.
