2 | Kyle Walker - 2024/25

Ideally, yeah, but it negates our lack of a right back though and Gvardiol could play left of the 3.
It is not brilliant now with either Lewis or Walker but teams may still have a field day with a lack of a right back even without either of them in the team

Liability again and no longer has a redeeming attribute. Lazy on thr first goal, shit on thr second and the less said about his pathetic "marking" on corners the better.

He should be nowhere near games of this magnitude anymore. His role should be carabao cup games and as a leg saving sub for a year before moving on but we have no option but to use him as pep and txiki decided 6 defenders, 2 of which are constantly injured and one who is 34 and massively declining was more than enough cover...

They ignored the fact every other side has typically always had 8-10 defenders in a squad, we only need 6. Walker wouldn't be in the side if we had other options. Walker isn't the reason we don't have other options. The worse thing is, this was so easy to predict.

I always fear the worst when I see his name on the team sheet now. My heart sank when I saw the starting 11 today. He shouldn't be playing for us anymore, he's a liability.

I don't want to slaughter any player.

I will be to the point about Walker though. His concentration and awareness levels are worse than ever (very poor on the first goal) and he is slowing. His decision making in possession is poor, often too negative, playing the ball back when a forward option is on.

He's been very good for City before this season but his time should by rights up now.

Yeah, his race is run. But what a race it's been. Him, Gundogan, and Bernardo going at once is gonna make for an emotional last home game this season. They've given us everything we could have dreamed of, and more besides.

He was fucking shite last year too

Even with his declining pace, he’s still faster than most fullbacks - he just lacks the football IQ to adapt.

Without the pace he’d have been a lower league player all of his career, so while he’s been an asset with that single attribute, it’s arrogant for him to not even try to adjust his game and do the basics like looking where the opposition players are.
