Bernardo is a great player but....

He isn’t and never will be good enough - to play RW and deliver 10 assists and goals per season..

And yes, that’s the standard if you want to win the PL

Pretty sure this guy knows a damn sight more than any of us about what it takes to win the Premier League.

"Never"

Would love to see him play the next game now, feels like he needs a solid run in to keep this up.

Liked him better in the false 9 role next to KdB, essentially played with two 10s and no striker.

He did well on the wing as well because he had alot of freedom to come inside, but just liked him better in the 2nd half as a 10/false 9.

But it seems that Jesus/KdB are the likely choice to play centrally, with Mahrez wide.

Maybe Jesus wide and Bernardo centrally would work.

That evidently isn’t true though. Did you miss his role in our first goal or the sitter he provided for KDB.

He missed a good chance and should have shot instead of passing to Mahrez, who should have done better with the chance BTW.

To call his performance shit on the basis of missing a chance is wrong though IMO. As if that if your benchmark, we should probably sell Sterling, Jesus and KDB with the chances they waste.

Didnt call him shit thats your interpretation , dont put words into my mouth, he isnt good enough and hasnt been for over two seasons

You didn’t call him shit?

You couldn’t bring yourself to mention one positive of his performance yesterday. That’s whilst calling him a one-season wonder and comparing him to Foden who hasn’t exactly stood out for us this season.

The fact you chose his performance yesterday to criticise him when he was just as productive as any other player on the pitch is strange.

Can KDB play as a DM? A midfield 3 of KDB, Foden and Bernardo would do wonders in creativity and maybe bring our goal tally up.

Still can't believe he decided not to shoot and to pass from there, into a crowd of 7 Southampton players.

Sums up City at the moment. Who doesn't shoot from there? Someone with low confidence. I'm sure we have all played enough football to know that if there is an option to shoot from there or to sidefoot to a player that is free from 6 yards you might think about passing.

But if the pass requires a delicate lofted chip you don't bother, you just take a shot.

It is all confidence related. De Bruyne takes too long to get a shot away and it's blocked or over the bar everytime. Sterling throws in dummy after dummy before being crowded out. Mahrez the same, but it ends up over the bar.
