In an idle moment last night I googled past World Cup goals, Brazil's greatest goals and the Brazil 1982 team. The subjects aren't mutually exclusive and obviously there's a large crossover. Think I appreciate the 82 class more now than I did when I was 12!

What I will say is that a lot of Brazil's goals involve

a) Neymar - when he plays football he's actually pretty decent.

b) Robinho. Gulp!!!!!

c) Scotland. Our friends in the North make the Samba Boys look good!

The more I watch that stuff the more I'm convinced we're the spiritual successors to Zagalo, Cruyff, Pele, Platini and Maradonna. Alan Rough, not so much.

Messi final World Cup was always gonna be a w*nkfest - but he has stepped up to the plate and is on a different planet once again this tournament - deserves all the plaudits he’s getting

The Moroccan coach is one to watch in my opinion not just for England but for city. Very clever coach from what I witnessed.. he has huge potential imo
