Hasn't played alot in these last 2 years, happy with large amounts of his game today based on that, he's been improving steadily and getting back to 100%. Keep going Mendy!

Played excellently in the first 35 minutes. Created our goal with a big counterattacking run after winning the ball back, made interceptions, passed around their press like it was nothing.

Blotted his copy book with the yellow which was a bit unnecessary and the miscontrol which ultimately cost us nothing (Not that you'd know it from the replies so far in this thread).

Like vs. Burnley he showed signs of why Pep has kept faith in him. Not called up to France so it'll be interesting to see where he is at fitness-wise after the break because that's been the big negative so far, he's not match sharp.

I'm pretty sure he's just going to keep improving the longer he stays fit.

I genuinely think he scares the life out of his teammates too. His stupid mistakes are infectious and it disrupts the whole defence.

Hopefully Ake can plug the gap until we get a competent natural left back.

Pep is usually quite ruthless (especially with full backs) so I can’t for the life of me understand how he still gets a game.

He’s terrible.
