Good game, looks so much more fluid and 'loose'. Another chance to keep building mid week and perhaps Cancelo in on Saturday.

Another good game, nice for him to get the goal to put the icing on it.

I was a bit worried at the end, around 80 minutes he looked absolutely knackered and thought he might make a mistake but he got through it and looked to have a bit of a second wind in the last 5 minutes where he was getting up and down quickly again.

Just stay fit. That's all that matters.

As long as he's not going up against a super fast winger (like Traoré for example) who can exploit his lack of turning speed, I have no worries whatsoever with Mendy.

And in time IF he stays fit then even that former scenario won't be too much of an issue either as he regains sharpness.

Can't quite put into words how useful it is to have his natural width. Means we end up having players in the box.

He looks like he's got a lot of confidence in him now running forward with the ball, hope he can keep it up and stay fit

Looked good today and after the injury problems he's had to endure , let's hope he stays fit and pushes on.

He gives us another option offensively which is good.

Was superb again today going both ways.

offered the width so that our wingers could get closer to the forward. Not getting enough credit for his goal, the finish was incredibly well taken but the run to get right up in line with the forwards was brilliant.

Thought he was a mixed bag of really good and utter bobbins yesterday. Pep had a go at him three times from the sideline for giving the ball away when under no bleeding pressure at all. One in the first half the camera went to Pep and he was holding his arms out with a death stare looking at him, and one in the second half the camera popped to Pep and he was just shaking his head in disgust.

And, fuck me, his crossing was beyond shite!

But then some of the other things he did were top class. He was good defensively, he was creating space in midfield because he was staying wide and spreading the Burnley midfield out, he was a constant threat out wide and looked really good with Torres... and what a finish his goal was, sublime!

What an erratic player he is.

Optimistic signs! he looks fit and he looks hungry, with a few more games under his belt......who knows,we might see the real,50m,Mendy,that we have been praying for.

Never going to be the answer
Adds nothing even against west brom
No other top ten team has a worse left back than him
Angelino ten times the player mendy is
