You're right. Akanji is underappreciated.

Yes, I’d agree that he is under-appreciated by supporters but not by the guy that picks the team. Now I know some of our supporters like to think they know better than Pep and will drone on about free speech and how this is a forum for debate (real sensible debate being pretty rare in my view, sorry @Ric) but the way Pep used him yesterday and the frequency with which he plays tells you just how much Pep values him.

I'm sure he was thoroughly examined yesterday and if he'd sustained a major injury it would have gotten out but one never knows when it comes to clubs updating the public in early days regarding injuries. Like you, I hope he's OK...
