Got to think it’s starting to look a bit like the beginning of the end. His performance was dire. But he won’t have been helped by the exact same thing going on on the other side of the pitch.

One of my biggest concerns about him at the moment was evident when Kev had a fantastic first touch to give him possession in the centre circle, they had committed many players forward for once and a simple first time pass to Cancelo was on yet he took three touches and was tactically fouled to stop the counter. All our players slumped.

Should have sold him this summer while he still had some value. Finished the season poorly and he’s started off the same way. Luxury player and always has been. We could do a lot better.
Yep. Hand a new £200k+ pw contract to a 31yo whilst also selling the competition for his place and this is what can happen. The guy is on easy-street.

Just like Grealish he's offering nothing at the moment, unlike Jack we know Riyad can play much better than this especially in Europe but it's just not happening at the moment, of course it must be pointed out that he's playing with no support at all from the RB (Stones tonight and Walker in previous games) because Pep wants them to play as extra midfielders rather than overlap so that makes his job as an inverted winger harder, but he still has to do better.

Having a poor start to the season , he is contributing next to nothing when he gets a start , but he is a brilliant player and a match winner and he has proven he can do it at the highest level , not worried at all about Mahrez he will come good .Hopefully he will be firing on all cylinders after the world cup for the business end of the season.
