Absolute shite, I've never said that about him before but that describes his season so far, now he's also missing penalties for fun, I'd rather start Palmer at the moment even if he doesn't do anything, at least he'll get some experience.

Problem is Pep will be wanting to play him back into form for when we need him but there aren't words to describe how much I hate watching an underperforming Riyad Mahrez.
 
Mahrez was no worse than the other 10 on the pitch, did his job adequately. Penalty was poor but so what, kdb, gundogan, they've all missed penalties too, that's why he's on them in the first place.
 
About as selfish as you can get. Nobody with his record can continue to put themselves forward for pens. It’s impossible. There’s an argument that someone else in the side should just tell him to fuck off, but they shouldn’t need to because Mahrez should bow out gracefully.

Imagine having the gall to do fuck all week in, week out and then step forward for pens all the time to try and steal the glory.

No doubt team Mahrez will be out in force telling us how he will turn it around, blah blah blah.

Stealing a living this joker.

Agree, pep knows the quality is there and is trying to get him firing again by playing him, but it's shite to have to watch him struggle while palmer sits on the bench raring to go
 
Only took it because Haaland wasn't there, but even still, he needs to be even lower down than 2nd choice on them.

Just didn't do anything, and has been lack luster for a while.

Let Palmer take his minutes for a bit, hopefully that sparks something in him, Palmer always looks better in the few minutes I've seen of him.
 
I’m not one for really slating our own players, I mean it’s not like he missed on purpose but..

if he gets nowhere near the pitch any time soon, I’m ok with that. It’s not just because of the penalty miss, I’ve felt pretty much that way for a month or so.

Almost everyone misses a pen or two at some stage, Haaland has and will for us. The issue is not that Mahrez has missed a pen, it’s that he has missed so many of them, that you could pretty much pick anyone in the side and if you give them 30+ pens they will likely have a better record than him.
 
You just know he is not going to score. I bet even in his own head he's thinking he's going to fuck it up. The next time he tries to pick up the ball to take a penalty he needs a slap.
