Excellent tonight, much more like the mahrez we know. Scores the opener and his own bit of superb skill creates the second, that's an impact! Especially for a guy that supposedly only scores 5th goals in a rout. exactly what you want your wide man to do tonight. And an added mention for his defensive work made sure he was helping Rico out.

He is one of half a dozen players we have who can just pull summat out of nowt. It was always a promising position for a kick but you still have to put in the net.

I personally think he and Cole should have switched positions and it would have benefitted both of them.

Mahrez might benefit from playing centrally more off the striker, he had good spells as a 10 at Leicester, and I think his current style is more suited to that.
