Not sure there aren’t a few on wind up in this thread. He did okay last night after his assist he had a good spell. He don’t track for their second and first half he was mainly anonymous giving the ball away quite a bit. Wasn’t the worst but if we are now suggesting this guy is the answer to our issues I’d ask where did he go in that last 15 mins? He can run quicker than most I’ll give him that but he’s not world class as someone suggested in this thread.

And wanting him first name on team sheet for Sunday some, bizarre, if we are relying on this lad to provide us with a shock Sunday……well we are kidding ourselves

Folks might think he's not good enough, but at the moment, he's invaluable to the team. At a time when we have players either out injured, off form, or plain unfit. Fills in anywhere across the midfield and gives us much needed energy in the team.

Credit where credit's due, he's been one of the brighter points this season when there aren't many.

Needs to be playing central midfield, gives us some legs, hopefully he continues this improvement in his form.

He's superb at winning the ball back. Looks like he takes it personally when he gives it away and sprints like fuck to dispossess the opponent. His biggest problem is perhaps giving the ball away in the first place, but he is improving with us. If nothing else, he's one of the more entertaining players to watch.

Showed exactly why he should of been starting central. He looked comfortable both high up the pitch and deep, won the ball back multiple times and improved our press no end. He made 5 tackles and made 3 interceptions, nobody else even got close to that, and gave us much more penetration and speed to our attack. He has to start as many games as possible right now. There's a lot of things he's not and he's by no means a traditional pep player but we've got too many pep players right now. His willingness to go forward on and off the ball and his all round mobility is something we lack massively. He also has a knack off making something happen and has the best end product of any of our attackers at the moment bar Kev and Erling. People questioning where he was for the last 15 minutes, what do you expect him to do when their attacker is passed through one on one for the first, The second we give the ball away in an awful area, break our defensive line to play them onside then awful keeping and the third we play a suicidal high line and our keeper thinks he's superman. Maybe I'm blinkered but not sure how many of the midfield or attack can change those?

Played with a level of urgency that we've been screaming for. He definitely showed he has a future here with that performance.

Nice to see someone who was capable of coming up with something other than dawdling onto the wing, letting the defence set up and floating a cross into a triple marked Haaland.

This is exactly what I saw/thought.
World class? Give me a break. Did some things very well and some things quite badly.

Bit of a bright spark in a sea of shite. Foden played better too but Nunes is invaluable right now.

I thought he was poor last night in the majority, just ambled about in the first half not looking for space at all, had a spell just after half time when he tried and did get the assist then vanished again

Term world class is thrown around like piss. Actually he has been shining light when almost everyone has been bad. Probably less bad among bad

Grew in confidence as the game went on, only shining bright in a dark room?, not sure it matters anymore as long as you shine for 90minutes.

I like the guy and for me he is a player.

Good energy, great change of pace and very technical.

Also seems a very decent and popular in the dressing room.

A player that has turned around his career at our club and a bright spot in a crap season so far.

Had a good start to the second half, but he's just not a goal threat and neither is Lewis or Grealish, or even Bernardo.

That puts so much pressure on Foden because with Rodri injured and De Bruyne less influential our only hope is Haaland scoring 40+
