It’s obvious we’re in dire need of fullbacks on either side but Nunes has done more than enough this season to warrant a place in next seasons squad. I hope homegrown English influence doesn’t force him out over Rico because he’s streets ahead in that position

One of the best players this season IMO. It’s easy to forget that spell on the wing around November time too where he was the only shining light in a sea of shit. Then he’s done well at full back since then too.

His defending has improved massively I think, and his composure in 1v1s is loads better as well.

Not forgetting that Villa goal too. That was vital.

Shame Pep didn’t start him in the cup final.

What can you say?

Been a revelation as a makeshift RB, getting up and down the wing in Walkeresque fashion!

Has deserved the praise he has received and the only black mark on his season was when Pep STUPIDLY said he wasn’t smart enough to play in CM for City. Unforgivable comment.

Clearly enjoys playing here. Works his hole-filled socks off. Doesn’t look to be a loaner and quick to smile.

Every team needs squad players who can play multiple positions SHOUKD make him unreliable, especially silly considering we’d probably lose money on him.

I’d consider a trade, but only for full value and to get a player who would significantly improve us.

Was solid as a rock, pur best attacking threat and thr opener comes from him, but, he miscontrolled it once and let the ball run out for a throw in in their half so release him on a free tomorrow....

Brilliant again. Cements his 3rd place in player of the season awards after gvardiol and kovacic. Would have absolutely no issues with him being our starting right back next season, he's earned it, improving weekly and has everything we need.

Don't get me wrong, I'd be fuming if the club haven't bought a proper right back but this guy is, as of right now, our best right back

Hes clearly not not world class buts he's doing a fantastic job and he's been a huge player this season (although that does sum up how this season how panned out)

Deffo keep him as a useful squad player for full back and on the wings

Is he the optimal right-back? No.
Would any incoming right-back be automatically better? Don’t know
Is he under contract to 2028? Yes

Listening to Guardiola’s post-match comments, I can see us persisting with Nunes and working on developing him further. He’s only played 1,489 minutes in 17 games at right-back, with 1 goal and 3 assists, and that 2028 contract gives him leverage.

Not sure why Nunes should be interested in Forest though...
He'll be happy with his contract with us.

Hope he stays, has improved defensively so much and makes great overlapping runs going forward. Not seen much better RBs in the PL over the last few months.
