Sack him. He made a mistake.
It would be marvellous if it was just the one. This fella has one in him every game, thankfully much of the time he is a passenger.
Sack him. He made a mistake.
Here he goesDOG SHIT THIS ****
Half time lolFucking clown
He's been a big part of what we've achieved, but we always need to look to improve all over the park - including in goal.
His passing is great but teams have adapted against us to some extent and I'm not sure he gives us the 'extra' something that he used to.
And if you take away his passing, is what's left all that amazing?
Below is from a goalkeeping analyst. He's noticed how Ederson often gets himself in no-mans land and makes it an easier finish for the striker.
I'm not after Ederson going, but I also wouldn't be amazed if the club was thinking about alternatives either.
Someone posted this exact same drivel from this guy about 18 months ago. Surprised somebody claiming to be an analyst hasn't recognised his glaring errors in all that time. He can call himself a goalkeeping expert all he wants and put a lot of time into producing stats to back himself but he's clueless if this trash is his level of output.
He either doesn't understand or refuses to recognise the very basic concept of all keepers under Pep playing further forward. We as city fans who watch every week all know this or at least we should by now. It's unconventional, in the same way our fullbacks are unconventional and aren't in traditional fullback positions when we lose the ball but it's what Pep demands, so they do it and it cannot be considered wrong or poor positioning when Pep asks for it. to continuously suggest it is, is complete horseshit and shows this claimed "expert analyst" understands very little.
The last time this guy was brought up it was Leeds when we lost with 10 men, they were played clean through and ederson came to the edge of the box and did little to stop the ball going in, this exact claim was made about him coming too early off his line, a reverse angle of the game shows ederson didn't even start on his line as this guy presumes and that he actually doesn't come out early at all, he's on the edge of the box, back peddles first to adjust for being further up the pitch than you'd see any other keeper, then only when he knows he cannot get into a better position or he sees the opponent take a poor touch he thinks he can get to does he come out to engage.
Peps keepers are expected to play sweeper, as a consequence if the through ball is played well our keepers will aleays be in a seriously disadvantaged position to deal with it, there's no eradicating that, they can only do their best to make it as hard as possible. To show its not ederson specifically, we literally saw this in action with ortega at Southampton just last week. ortega didn't instantly back track from his disadvantaged starting position which ws his error and he got lobbed. This guy will tell you his starting position was poor.
Go ask the guy to provide stills of ederson when that ball to Rashford was played and see where ederson started, my guess without knowing is he is around the edge of his box as usual before backing up as far as he could to around the penalty spot when he knew he couldn't come out to sweep and then you get him in the position at the start of those stills by default. then ask him to offer up a better play from ederson without suggesting he was in a poor starting position in the first place.
I don't expect random twitter people to watch city every week and understand what Pep wants, but as city fans we shouldn't be believing the crap that comes out of the mouths of these attention starved people
Not a patch on joe hart for saves .I’m not arsed about his passing it’s his saving (or lack of) that’s the problem. Sometimes it seems like it’s 1 shot 1 goal like the Claudio Bravo days.
