37 years ago today - Heysel Disaster

I was living in Liverpool at the time.

Was going out with a scouser at the time and her dad asked me if I wanted to go to the game but I declined. Tickets much easier to get in those days as they didnt have as many plastics as they have nowadays.

Watched it at home.

Cant believe that they are holding a parade today, mind blowing really.

Thirty Seven years ago today, 39 people (almost all Juventus fans) died on terraces of the Heysel stadium, Brussels, when riots caused a wall to collapse before the European Cup final between Juventus and Liverpool. It is likely this won't be covered by the UK media as it never is, so just a little note to say that they are not forgotten, we remember them.

Seems quite fitting that Liverpool Football Club has absolutely nothing to celebrate today.

...or commemorate it seems. Beyond shameless.
