It'll help his confidence and professional self esteem.
A good start at a new club will hopefully kick start his career.
He was always more of a 'battling' rather than 'technical' type of player .....a defensive role where the ball is in front of him will suit him better.

So pleased for Kalvin that he’s had a good preseason. Needed the confidence boost and the last two games in particular he’s been excellent in the CB role. Hopefully it will help open up more options for him going forward. Aside from one error last night (and who doesn’t make errors in a match) he was very good indeed.
Except there is harm we will get knocked outMuch better in his last two games playing in a different position. If he doesn't secure a move then there is no harm playing him in the cup games.
