40% City fans

WHY DOES EVERYONE GET SO FUCKING BOTHERED ABOUT THIS SUBJECT?!

Manchester's Blue, Manchester's Red - really, who gives a flying fuck?

I go to every home game and 80% of away games, and I seriously could not give the SLIGHTEST shit what other City/United fans do.

I'm not here for the success, I'm here for what CITY means to me. I love my club more than anything. And there's plenty of United fans who are the same. I hate the bastards, I really do, but I could not care about who has the more support inside the ground/city/county!!!!

So why does everyone else?! So what if they've got more fans than us - does that change your opinion on City!?

What gets me is a how the self-proclaimed "biggest club in the world," the all-conquering "world champions" no matter what they do-can't get rid of "little old ciddy."

Why?

We've had too listen to 30+ years of gloating bullshit from lightweight,odious,bandwaggon-jumping anywhere-but-Manchester media whore,sun-reading fuckwits who think that buying the latest shirt with "Ronaldo7" on the back makes them a real "fan"-despite ever making any form of emotional input, and being almost completely sheltered for 20 years from the unpredictable nature of supporting a footbal team.

Anyone who doubts this-check the pathetic mass exodus from the swamp fifteen minutes before the end of the game against Liverpool-with the score at 3-1.

It was a situation they just couldn't believe was happeneing-and due to their emotional conditioning were left totally unaware of how to deal with it.

So they just left.

These wankers treat their football team like eating at McDonalds or drinking coffee at Starbucks-its simply a lifestyle choice.
It requires no effort or thought,it's plentiful, not difficult.
You can bask in the reflective success of your team with little or no input required from yourself. You can take the piss with little or no fear of reprisal.
You just arrogantly point at the cups and tell everyone you're "the best" don't you?Fuck the little details.
In short-it's easy.
After all-if everyone else around you does it-it must be right?

What they fail to realise is that these "character traits" are exactly what makes them the most loathed "fans" on the planet to a huge majority of fans of "lesser" clubs.

They will never understand why we can still hold our heads high as a club after winning fuck all for 30+years while they have, with the aid of the constant media brainwashing and Sky's cartel money-swept all before them.

And I'm glad.

Now fuck off,you rag wankers.I don't give a fuck what you win.Ever.

You'll never get it.
Best thing I've ever read on here and sums up my feelings perfectly.

couldnt agree more liam- really is pretty gay all this banging on about fan percentages..what are people trying to prove?

The reason United fans go on about this and attendances is that they cannot understand - really cannot understand - why anyone would support a team who are not the biggest and most successful.

That's football support for them - glory hunting.

This is just for the City of Manchester...suprisingly City have plenty of season ticket holders in Central(Ancoats etc) and Beswick etc..in fact more than United. Obvioulsy a lot of people in inner city areas struggle to find £500 like Fallowfield red mentioned...wealthier areas have more season ticket holders..like Stockport and Trafford!

Manchester is blue because City are the only team from Manchester.

Trafford is red.

Do you know what, i live in Trafford and i have about 30 mates who are all City fans and go to games, away games, European games and we as a group are as good a group of Blues as you'll find anywhere! i reckon that around Altrincham and Timperley (where i live) there is definately no overwhelming majority of Red it's 50-50 if not more City, i see more City, thats the truth!

But yes all this United arent from Manchester lark is shite, there are loads of United and City fans from Salford, Bury, Rochdale, Oldham, Tameside, Stockport and Trafford and when we take the piss out of Reds when their team play in Trafford it alienates the thousands of City season ticket holders who live in Trafford and is abit daft if you ask me! I live in Trafford but still consider myself Mancunian, maybe not a thoroughbred but my Mam and all her family grew up in Moss Side (Russell Street off Claremont Road - theres a grass verge there now where her house used to be!) it's 2 minutes walk from Maine Road, but are you gonna say i should support United!? Me n me mates would be after knocking people out of that is their view!

The "This Is Our City" slogan is spot on then, nice one, good post! i like seeing facts and figures!

Rag's keep accessing this site is quite boring now tbh.

I know were the ONLY team in Manchester and the richest in the world (by far), but really, it's quite tiring now.

Lets start with the premise that a fan is someone who regularly attends games and not someone who visits pubs to watch games on $ky tv in their replica shirt. Funny how many rag so called fans you meet who NEVER actually attend games. Too hard to get a ticket blahdeblah. Lets then take out all the ST holders that are corporate junket jobs. Then remove the ST sharers who make the trip North to attend 1/2 games at the swamp per season. Finally, and just for the purposes of this exercise, can anyone not from, or without any connection to, Manchester, kindly leave the stadium. Bugger me there's hardly any fecker left!

No contest.
