Those who, after 4 games this season are spitting their dummies out at Foden not getting a start

Most posters on here didn’t mention him getting a start though ... they have mentioned him coming on in a game already won for 30 minutes.

Posters are concerned he isn’t going to develop or get enough minutes this season. Perfectly reasonable thing to think. Especially when we can see other youngsters around his age getting game time - sangho, mount, Arnold ....

You seem to just accept everything pep and the club do. You can disagree with it you know. If he ends up getting lots of minutes then great, but if he doesn’t and ends up leaving, like sancho then that would be ridiculous

There were plenty IIRC in the pre match thread saying they would be disappointed if he didn't start.

There are quarters on here claiming he should have come on when we had the game won as there was nothing to lose and another saying getting minutes when the game is won is pointless and will not help him develop - what is your view on that? gen Q

You might want to challenge Pep and his team because he didn't feature and that is your prerogative, but he is developing at a pace the club and player are obviously comfortable with and, over the views of some BM posters, yes, pep gets the nod.

Whilst Phil hasn't played this season, and thus the comments regarding playing time, he's not alone is he ?

For example how many minutes has Bernardo played ?

Pep commented earlier in the week that Foden is perhaps not asserting himself within the squad yet . Perhaps that is an issue for Pep and his non-selection of Foden so far ?

If he isn't quite good enough yet then why keep him in the squad?

He needs a season out on loan, preferably abroad where teams would appreciate his skill.

Because hes learning all the time just by being a part of it.

There is an obsession on here with the kids playing regular football.

That isn't going to make or break their development.

He is in the perfect environment to continue learning.
