Over reaction on this has been incredible. We are playing PSG and he asked Mbappe if he is ready for the challenge. It was hardly a photo of him with a big cigar in his mouth with a bottle of champagne saying "Heres to the final".

Yeah, I saw that. If it turns out that Phil did give it the go ahead, and still "sacked" his social media team, that won't reflect well on him. Not the tweet itself, that's very small potatoes compared to some of what you see on there. More particularly someone else taking the blame for something he okayed. Just to repeat, if he did give approval.

I reckon they are hiding behind the deal they would have agreed on whereby Foden approves TenToes to post for him. He obviously didn't walk off the pitch and in the dressing room have a conversation with someone about an Mbappe tweet, was some smart arse who works there who tweeted it.

It would appear not when you look at some of the shite posted on the official club account guaranteed to wind up the opposition.

Edit: Ten Toes have put out a statement saying they always get the clients permission before posting anything and that is without exception. They are effectively saying Foden approved it and he is now dodging responsibility for it.
