Would Pep have been impressed if both opportunities ended up in the onion bag?
Yes, but Phil’s shooting is the worst part of his game and neither time did it end up in the net.

That’s why both times Pep was doing his hit on the sideline, it’s why Pep went mad at Mahrez against Madrid for not passing to make it 3-0.

I watched Chelsea and you could see how poor Sterling's movement was when he was the lone player centrally. Always looking to go to the far post rather than attack the near post. It feels as though some of the passes that are on to Haaland aren't made because the team isn't quite realising he will almost inevitably be there regardless of where he is when they first look.

Whether the ball is perfect or slightly over or under hit he has the pace and strength to get it and make something happen as shown today. Foden has to square it, and De Bruyne should have as well, rather than shoot. Play it across and trust he will get there. He might not always score either but it is now the best option in those situations.

Imho, Foden and Bernardo are not natural wingers tbh. Neither is Walker a centre midfielder. They manage to their best.
They ain’t but people will still say that we don’t need a Natural one. Imo that’s our weak spot. ASM showed today what we need.

Only just seen the chance people are moaning about and can't believe he's getting stick for it! He had absolutely every right to shoot from there, because there was a big defender between him and Haaland. Nobody would be complaining if it wasn't for his balls-up last week

On another note, I feel he's started this season off the same way he played last year: underwhelmingly. For whatever reason, he's not stepped up from his 20/21 performances yet, aside from the odd flash of brilliance. I'm sure it will come but he needs to start kicking on
