I’d like Pep to be asked about it in a press conference to hear if Phil is getting closer to learning that side of the role, but a journo asking interesting questions seems unlikely.
So true, the questions they ask are terrible. They have access to one of the all time greats and they don't take advantage.

That stupid penalty give away against Palace has done wonders for his game.

It was a wake up call and he has taken it and used it as a massive motivation and is playing consistently better than ever.

If KDB gets' back to his previous level, Pep is going to have some incredible choices.

He'd taken his chance to play centrally with Kev out and shouldn't then be shoehorned out when he's back. Dilemma for Pep but a nice one to have.

My guess is to alternate between Kev and Alvarez.
Foden is the Gundogan replacement this season, and Alvarez is the Kev replacement.

When Kev is back, Alvarez is defo the one to lose his spot.

Luckily for Alvarez he can rotate in either Kev spot or Haalands spot anyhow.

Great threads worth a read about KDB and Foden how they can coexist.. both bring different perspective.
