He’s definitely upped the consistency past few games. Started to run the whole game like Kev does.
Good video on phil.
Easy premise, give Phil the ball more and we win.
Phil has been extraordinary all season long. I mean, the guy gets MOTM 3/4 times he plays this season. Giving him a CM role has been a revelation. Imagine the KDB, Rodri, and Foden midfield...
It's perhaps easier to see how good De Bruyne is because he tends to be playing Hollywood passes, so you have a few seconds to appreciate the skill.
Foden regularly has touches and passes that are just as impressive, but they're so often first touches in tight areas, where the ball is with another player before you have time to take anything in. It can take a slow motion replay to show just how ridiculous his touch was, and that he's playing at a level that very few players in the World are capable of.
When we're playing three games a week, the attacking players almost never play every game.the biggest question going into 2024 is who is going to the bench when kev is fully back and firing
just hope thats not foden and they can co-exist together
of course, but im talking about our best lineup going into the biggest matches, last season it was pretty clear which was the best lineup. When we're playing three games a week, the attacking players almost never play every game.
Bernardo, Foden and Alvarez could all do with playing less than they have in the first half of the season.
