Yeah your post doesn't come across very well, being honest with you. You said something about his career being at a make or break point, IIRC? I think he's gone quite a way beyond that point now....
1 Champions League
1 European Super Cup
1 Club World Cup
5 Premier Leagues
2 FA Cups
4 EFL Cups
2 Community Shields
1 U-17 World Cup

He isn't 24 until the end of May.
That is exactly my point. The next few years are going to make or break whether he is remembered for the above every growing list.

Agreed. This season he's finally fulfilling his potential. That long distance pace, shooting ability and workrate is simply worldclass.
I don't think "finally" is an apt description...he's 23 years old and he's been having to make his mark on a team loaded with world class players. I'd say he's been right on time since the age of 8...JMO

And that's the yardstick, is it? Whether a player will get a statue will define his career. Not honours won? Much as I detest the tw@, for all sorts of reasons, Giggs had a fantastic playing career at the rags. As far as I am aware, there's no statue of him at the ground, though I'm happy to be corrected on that.
Giggs is a prime example that there is more to life than being a great footballer.

As good as Foden has become one of his greatest accomplishments in his career is that it seems like he has shaken off some bad influences that at a point seemed to sneak into his life, for example hanging a bit too much with that other family man over at Stretford that needed a little vacation in Spain.

If he continues like this the sky is the limit, statue or not.

Hey Blue_Lightsaber and Mancityus...Philip Walter Foden says hello...and a nod to the other geniuses who enjoyed ripping this young superstar.
Roll call: Scottyboi, Millwallawayveteran1988, JAG, CarlosTevez'sEnglishTutor, Meeesh, Stelea, Argyle, Paolo, Mike N, Trojan1962, and Pudge.

A baker's dozen who chose not to give this homegrown world class talent even the least bit of grace. We all have opinions but there was no way I was going to let all the nasty, idiotic shit you all chatted about Phil post Palace slide by...

I will never forget the first time I saw him play against the Rags, it was also the first time I saw him play. It was a preseason game in the states. I’ve never seen a young kid run a game like he did then. He looked special then but you never know for sure how kid’s will develop but this young man is now in with a shout to be footballer of the year.

I am always slightly critical of Phil's performances. I am starting to wonder, just how good can he become? You think of the likes of Aguero and Silva that we signed about 23 years old.... I think the next 2 years are going to make or break his career.
You've admitted yourself your uniformed and unknowledgeable so why persevere with your useless and wrong assessment.

Nedum said something interesting on the 5 live daily podcast today after the game.

He said he spoke to Foden after last season and Foden told him he felt a bit peripheral in the treble, coming off the bench most of the time during the run in, and that from now on he wanted to play a bigger part in things.

I found that interesting as well but also not very surprising. Winning the treble while Phil dealt with his first bad injury and then having his appendix removed really hurt his 'global' reputation' and seemingly made the majority forget how important he was for us in years before last.
