47 | Phil Foden - 2023/24

How about ditching the TAA experiement and play Foden in his natural position and if he still doesn't perform then drop him then?
Would make perfect sense. Instead he’s got 2 playing out of position.

I'm only a 13 minutes into this analysis, but it's pretty good.

Highlights multiple times in the first 30 minutes where Foden makes the pass and run and doesn't get the return. One time where he does and miscontrols it, to be fair too. But also one time where he's seeing the obvious pass for TAA or Rice and it doesn't come.

It's been like this during his whole international career. No wonder it's starting to affect him.

If Southgate stays on after this tournament Phil should retire from international football.

Foden isn’t the problem, it’s Southgate.
Any English success is despite him, not because of him, it’s like a Ferrari dragging a caravan.
Shit plan A, no plan B, tactically inept.
Imagine playing under Pep, then having to deal with Southgate.
"Like a Ferrari dragging a caravan" - Full marks for the analogy hahaha.

And he volleyed a pass to Walker that led to nothing so it's coming home lads.

That made me laugh, he was getting sucked off for playing volleyed pass when he was in about 10 yards of space.

Pretty much every player can do it, they do it in pre match warm ups when knocking the ball about.

You'd find it difficult to find a professional player that couldn't do it with that much space
