6/10 today. Tough to do better when most of the team is way off it.

Still doesn't do enough for me to really influence games on a regular basis.

He has ability, but people often confused being good on the eye and comfortable on the ball with being a top player. He has his moments now and again but that's it.

He's not some generational English talent we've heard he is, if he was, he would be putting in better performances regularly.

It's like the old Jack Wilshire thing where people raved about him because he looked really good on the ball and had a level of comfort on the bar we don't have to see from English footballers but so what, what else can you do regularly?

Saka is more influential for Arsenal than Foden is for us, that's for sure.

Maddison doesn't play on the left.
Foden has been drifting inside pretty much most of these games, he's constantly finding himself in the middle or at the very least in an inside forward position where maddison finds himself a lot too as he looks to cross and create from all angles

Gonna have to sadly agree on this one. Bloody great player to have in this team and system ɓut he isn't gonna be a match winner/game changer for us in the vein of de bruyne like we all wanted him to be

He was played out wide and was also very tightly marked by Ben white and whenever he tried to go inside most times the central spaces would be blocked off. Pep doesn’t play him deeper so of course he wouldn’t see most of the ball today. And the pivot of Kovacic and Lewis I think it was didn’t help much with respect to ball progression.
