1st half wasn't great but he was still the only player on the pitch who was ever going to make anything happen in that starting 11. Played a great ball to put haaland in if he didnt have a lukaku-esque first touch and waste it.

Came alive second half once he had Doku and alvarez to work with. Much needed after a disaster performance against the dippers. Still feel like he's playing well within himself though. If he had the confidence of Doku he'd be tearing up every game.

The first touch for his goal was magnificent, if Messi had done that the world media would be playing with themselves all night.

Incredible 2nd half. Benefitted greatly from the energy of the subs and stepped up when we needed someone to.

The first assist to Haaland was David Silva-esque, lovely stuff.

Thought he was terrible 1st half. Was getting pushed off the ball far too easily and his touch was off.

To be fair two assists and a goal is pretty good. If he’s poor for one half, but ends up winning the game for us does it matter in terms of consistency?

In the final goal I thought we benefited from two deflections, first from Doku and then from Foden. Not sure if assists are adjudicated in the same as they are in the League; thinking here of how de Bruyne was not given the assist at Arsenal.

Yeah, because he has a tendency to be brilliant in 1 game and then average for the next 3.

He just needs to maintain his high level
