Absolutely top class when he's fit, he's also trying his best to get us going from the back, probably one of my favourite players, don't think there are many centre backs as good on the ball at any other club in the world

Akanji is not the man to partner John boy. He is caught out of position too often, is weak in the air and over commits (like for their second). Dias back quick smart and lets have a settled partnership for a few games. John played well last night and did very little wrong.

To think I got pelters on here a few years ago for saying Pep should be playing him over Garcia!! Never doubted his ability but I always felt a few City fans thought he was a bit calamitous and a mistake waiting to happen. I bit like non City supporting football fans with their lazy uninformed opinions.

At his current level I don’t see a weakness. Good in the air, good on the floor, pacey enough and fantastic on the ball. It’s only his fitness that can hold him back.
